She has a different skin colour in the Mummy and The Mummy Returns due to body paint!! She was the wife to be of Pharaoh Seti I and to make sure that no man could touch her but him she was forced to have her body painted gold and black. In the scene before she and Immotep kill Seti they kiss and you see Immotep rub her upper arm smudging the make up. It is how Seti realises someone has betrayed him

She looks Asianand as some members have said her ''Mongoloid'' look is because that is what she is. The Wayuus, like all Native Americans, are from Asia and are related to Altaic people distantly.
She doesn't look black at all, she looks Wayuu who are usually quite dark but look pretty Altaic.

Actually, I think, that other person was referring to, towards the middle, where they were wearing basically fancy bikini's, or when the up to date versions met up, after Evelyn gets her son bac111ck, in the movie, and before Meela/Anck-Su-Namun gets defeated, by Evelyn, which both aren't really at the end, just spiced up moments in the movie is all.

I think because she's a latino (to me some latino women have darker like light brownish skin complexion like malay/south east asian) a few minutes tanning for her works to get skin like that. Im a south east asian & my skin's light brown, when i stay outside at noon for 1 hour (unless it rains!) my skin becomes dark copper like her (but here that color's VERY not pretty, we prefer lighter skins).

by the way, the reason she looks mongoloid is because the native south americans are descended from the mongols, they started crossing the bearing straight from mongolia via russia about 25,000 years ago and spread all through canada and the americas from there.

The mongoloid look is due to the shape of her eyes which is actually because she is part native south american from the Wayuu tribe, if you look at pictures of Henry Ian Cusick, Desmond from Lost he has the same shape to his eyes and he is half Peruvian, you can check it out on Wikipedia below.

UmmI guess you're one of the few who missed it but she donned a full body make up! Also, does she look black to you? & when you say black, are you referring to skin color or her facial features like negroid (because to me she looked caucasian mixed with mongoloid - limited & unsatisfactory categorization I know)?

I know i guess the dark chocolate colour made her exceptionally beautiful in her scenes. She is supposed to look egyptian and i guess it worked..
