i don't think she's a bad actor. but everyone uses this defense as a response and it's useless. people criticizing her know they can't act, their standards of what is good or bad acting is based on other actors not themselves

I love how people are always so critical of other people's work, whether it's their acting, directing, modeling, artwork, sin5b4ging, playing of an instrument, or even how they live their life. all I gotta say, at least as far as the acting, singing, or making of a movie, is this: go to hollywood or get on american idol right now, get a contract with a big-name company, and make a public name for yourself. because I'm sure you can do MUCH better. go ahead, prove me wrong. prove that you can do everything she did, including getting out of a third world country and making a public name for yourself. oh, and making enough money to get your whole family out of said third-world country and sending your younger brothers to college. go ahead. prove that you can do everything she did, only do it three times better.

Yes. I agree with your opinion. I just saw her in "Zapata" and in my point of view she made a very good character, despite the awful comments of the movie which I don't share also, but this is what I feel and think. I really don't know why some people are so mean and enviousFor me she is very smart.

lol, i don't know how you can blame the Mummy 1 and 2's unbearable cheesyness all on her! those movies where just plain bad! of course she was terrible in it, everyone was!
a lot of people confuse bad acting with bad dialogue - you can have the greatest actors in the world but if the writing in the script is sh!t they look terrible

She was good in the mummy and the mummy returns. She was very beautiful and the character wasn't exactly the hardest to play. She should stay an actress and never do modelling as before I read your post I had no idea she was ever a model.

Personally, I think she's a great actress. She was also pretty decent in Committed, and that was her debut role.

And the little bits she has on the L Word are pretty good.
An actress can only do so much, it has a lot to do with the writing too.

I tend to agree. In Mummy and I remember her scenes being he hokiest in the whole movie.

She had to start some where and that was one of her early work. She's I've seen a lot of her later work and she improved over the years.
