I thought the same thing, Mswoc. In fact, because of MSN's odd description to the article/Today show page, "The eight surviving cast members of the classic CBS series 'The Waltons' appeared on 'Today' Friday morning to reflect on the show and its legacy," I thought that Mr. Waite had died. However, this site shows tha238t he is still alive.
I thought that MSN.com should have worded the beginning as, "Eight of the surviving cast members" Even if Mr. Waite is retired, sick or in a retirement/nursing facility, there's no reason to exclude him like that in the description or on the "Today" show. He deserves to be mentioned!
