Only just read about this on Lostpedia, and with all due respect to Evangeline Lilly, I think Sonya would have been a perfect, or even better Kate, though on the other hand she is also perfect as Penelope Widmore, a smaller but just as vital part of the show that I can't see anyone doingwonder what other roles she was offered? 🙂

Evangeline is perfect for the Kate role plus had Sonya got it, Evangeline probably would still be an unknown
i can't picture Sonya as Kate
both are realyl hot though!

Yea like evangeline in the role,but dose that mean evangeline could have ended up with the role of penelope i wonder,doing a english accent?.
But in the end all worked out alright as sonya has the show flashforward to work on.And if had played kate,then would not have been on flashforward?.

i like both women i like Evangeline better, and definitely she is the right one for Kate..
and Sonya is good as Penelope, and also good on Flash Forward now

Sonya is a great actress, but I think she performs better in roles where she is allowed to keep her native accent. Also, she has some of the most amazing breasts in all of Hollywood and I'm not sure she would have been able to do the physical stuff. Evangeline's smaller chest is far more suited to Kate's Tomboyish speed and agility.
