He was,in every sense of the term,"An Actors Actor",no one listened better than him, his reactions were always geniune, NEVER A FALSE MOMENT in anything he did, and like all the great ones, he made it look so easy. MR.Warden was one of the best character actors this country ever produced. He was part of a generation of actors we will never see the likes of again. RIP Jack. And THANK YOU for your work.

Like I said on another post, I was sitting watching, "Heaven Can Wait," on Wednesday night and thinking about how great the guy was in it. I'd totally forgotten it was the same guy from "Twelve Angry Men." Amazing actor. So totally natural on screen that, ironically, he probably never got the full credit for just how good he was, and yet he played such diverse characters.
They Think It's All Over! It Is Now!

I think his loss is really sad. He was such an underrated actor but entertained us all immensely.
Rest in peace Jack. x x x x

Also corny but I loved him in Dirty Work with Norm MacDonald and on The Norm Show. It was cool to see an older guy and a revered actor that could still be goofy and have a great sense of humor. He had a great charisma and style that not many people in this world have. Of course Brian's Song, 12 Angry MEN, the Woody Allen films etc. speak for themselves. Jack will be missed.

I know this sounds corny but I loved him in Problem Child and more so in Problem Child 2. I did not realized he played in so many movies.

I just finished watching "brians song" which features Mr Warden playing George Halas. I immediately recognized him from a particular fave little film of mine called "Used Cars" in which he plays two roles and showcases a subtle but true talent for comedy alongside a great cast doing the same. (It's a very funny and entertaining film)
Watching his screen presence as Halas and thinking of his other appearences, it really got me thinking about a comment on another post about him. He is such a fluid and natural character on screen. His behaviour and presence has a strong attractive personality but it also can go by unnoticed as he blends it so seamlessly with the interactions to the scene, situation and other characters.
When you do focus your attention onto him, his strong attractive personality starts to really come out. I really dont know his true personality off screen and i hope he is not another vain tinsel town idiot. But Reading up on his background with WW2 and prize fighting and going by his screen presence i would strongly doubt it.
To summarise it, the addage says there's two kinds of good looking. There are the good looking where the person looks at themselves all the time. And then there's the rugged good looking, where everyone else looks at the person. I think Mr Warden fits the second description.
