no, wrong bc i watched a doc on pf and when syd left and david took over they never said david saved pf they said what kept them afloat was roger and his demanding songwriting from the rest of the band well richard and david anyway. so roger saved pf and roger was always the main songwriter after syd.

DAVID SAVED PINK FLOYD after Syd popped his spring, it was DAVID GILMOUR makes 4 that took FLOYD to that next level it's not one over the other, think of them as one person GILMOUR-WATERS.think of how their vocals trade back and forth in s song so, let's keep it in perspective.. Yeah, I agree, Pink Floyd without Roger Waters just isn't Pink Floyd. Don't get me wrong, David Gilmore is talented as hell, and his solo stuff is pretty good, but to me Pink Floyd will always be Roger Waters.
