Also when Elena and Damon were dancing at the frat party in 4x04 she was having fun for the first time since becoming a vampire and what stopped her?
When she looked over and saw Bonnie judging the beep out of her. She denied her feelings for Damon to her friends, family and to herself bc she didn't want to love him. He was the "bad" choice, the "wrong" choice. In her mind Stefan was the choice she was supposed to make. Vampirism finally gave her the freedom to stop being that scared little girl and go after what she really wanted.

That didn't happen.Her fear of her feelings for Damon, her loyalty to Stefan isn't "trying to portray good image", it's real.

She was def confused and messed up but I think she was artificial too not genuine and continuously tried to portray good image of her until she became a vampire. Someone even quoted some dialogues of her while she was with Stefan.

artificioal,shallow and selfish aren't words you can use with Elena. Confused, messed up,.but definitly not any of the previous 3.She with Bonnie the most selfless character on the show and she's not fake , a hypocrite

No one paid any attention to Bonnie that season, even though she was the most powerful being walking around, brainwashed and willing to drop the veil, which could've been catastrophic, she still wasn't a priority.
This was one of the only times that Bonnie was clearly being selfish, where she thought of she and Enzo's happiness above everyone else.

Shane was working for Silas.
Silas wanted to die in peace , he didn't want to go to struck on the other side with Qetsiyah .
He wanted to use the Expression Triangle to destroy the barrier between the real world and the other side , then takes the cure and die in peace .

12 witches was sent by bonnie Mother to purge Bonnie's evil Expression magic ,but they decided Bonnie was too dangerous and beyond help , the witches was going to kill Bonnie , but Caroline saved Bonnie , but they were all linked to gether , Caroline kill one , but led to the death of all 12 witches .

What about that time , when Bonnie helped Silas to open the Expression Triangle .It almost kill a lot of people .
Bonnie was warned by many people about the danger of Silas , and she open the Tomb of Silas , and then for ananother selfish reson she helped Silias open the veil to the other side , for a brief period a lot of angry ghost from the other side were release .
Bonnie had disregarded the safety of the Entire World , when she helped Silas , because she wanted to bring Jeremy back from the dead .

Bonnie's one selfish moment will guarantee her hate forever. It doesn't matter if it's weighed against the numerous times her friends have been selfish over the years. But then again, Bonnie, up until this point at least, was written to serve these people, so for her to finally think about herself might come across as "ungrateful" or "selfish".
I'm sorry, but anyone who comes to the conclusion that Bonnie's choice to be selfish for once even compares to her "friends" can kick rocks.

It was when Jeremy died and she fell apart, broke and Damon used the sire bond to make her turn it off telling her"turn it off, this is what I want you to do".She didn't choose to. But once she did, the sire bond was broken.

Elena's humanity was on when she watch and let Damon fed Human Katherine to Silas .
Elena just can not claim the sainthood after she let Damon did the dirty work for her .
Elena did nothing to stop Damon murdered a human being right in front of her , because she wants Silas to resurrect her friend Bonnie .
Damon and Stefan entrapped a lot human to fail the test for Cade .
Nobody entrapped Elena when she and Damon made the decision to murder human Katherine for her own selfish goals.
