She needs win the Oscar, Golden Globe and SAG Award to receive more respect. she is one of the best actresses that I have seen. Naomi deserved to win all the awards it was nominated. Especially in Mulholland Drive, 21 grams and the impossible .

She is a dainty powerhouse. Most times it is extraordinarily difficult to see her taking over the scene and screen. You do not know she's doing it until after she's done it. Naomi never steps on anybody, her presence however improves everybody's flavor, like MSG. The world could use a couple of hundred million of her.

Honestly, why do you any of you give a damn about awards? No, I'm not one of these cynical "anti-everything" types I just seriously don't get the whole Oscar crap or why anyone puts the slightest bit of stock in it.
Let's see, you have a few people sit around and pick out who is "the best" - who are these people? Why do you put so much weight to their opinion over your own? You are really telling me if Naomi won some award you'd like her and respect her more?
That's putti111cng aside the fact that the judges get all kinds of "incentives" from the movie studios to pick certain films/actors, etc, so it's not even like it's an honest opinion from these judges either.

Funny Games U.S. was one hell of a performance but the academy sucks. They make wrong decisions every beep year but seriously who still cares about that award? I would love to see Naomi in arthaus movies more often. I think she did great with Haneke and Lynch, and she can do great with other directors like Lars von Trier or Xavier Dolan, too.

True about Theron, so true! It's cliche at this point but accurate to me: if you're an A-lister and part of a successful movie, and you got ugly for a role, you're going to win an Oscar.

She definitely should have won for 21 Grams. Charlize Theron was probably one of the weakest Oscar winners of all time.

She should have won for 21 Grams, no question. Love her in Mulholland Drive, too. Love her in everything she does; it feels like she gives every role everything she has.
