This Supergirl is separate from the one on Small1908ville as a result they wouldn't want Smallville's Superman to appear with this non Smallville Supergirl. If they didn't hire Justin for the new Green Arrow I don't they would bring in the old Superman to be on a new show. They didn't even bring in the current Superman to be on the show.
With that being said Supergirl's Superman looks horrendous especially that fugly costume.

In the season finale, a strange pod landed on Kara's earth. It would have been easy to make it Tom Welling inside of the pod and he could have travelled from a parallel universe. Thus, his Superman from "Smallville" would've appeared on the show yet, he still would not have been Kara's cousin on this earth. Have you guys seen the image of Tyler Hoechlin in the suit? I am not amused!

I firmly believe that this won't happen OP. "Smallville" had its own Kara; so the chances of TW showing up on "Supergirl" are about nil, IMO.
Nonetheless, I'd love to see him on the show.

Personally, I want Tom Welling as Superman in Supergirl, he only played Clark Kent/Kal-El in Smallville, unless uou count him in the Superman costume for like 5, or 10 minutes in the final episode.

Tom anit got jack sh!t going on right now just look at his resume, he needs to off his ass and start convincing people, that he can still play a convincing Superman which we already know he can it's just the haters, that really don't want to see it.

Here we go, Kara was 13 years old when she spent 23 years on the Phantom Zone, Kal-El was just about 9 months old when he was sent to Earth. So when Kara found her way to Earth, she was still 13 years old and Kal-El was just about 23. When the story went forward, she had 24, so that makes Superman about 34.
My point is that the actor Tom Welling could easily pretend to be a 34 years old Superman. And I agree, he could be "this" Superman, not Clark/Superman from Smallville.

1st, YES! 2nd, he doesn't actually have to be the same Clark/Kalel/Superman from Smallville. People are getting caught up in the details. The show is about Supergirl, they don't plan on showing Superman that much at all. To bring Tom in would just be a wink to the fans, and him playing Superman is just a great idea. Again, he doesn't have to be from the Smallville universe, he just has to be Superman! IMO, i hope they try to bring him in and he says yes!

I'd personally love it if tom appeared on Supergirl hell, they could even spin it, as another parallel Earth story. He a very underrated actor.

Considering that now that he's almost 40 Tom looks remarkably different imo than he did during

's run I don't really see much of a problem with it. I couldn't even recognize him in his FB profile photo. I think he looks different enough to disassociate him with the

sorry that be really cool, but Supergirl in the Smallville Universe was not only OLDER than Clark, she was more experienced than him. Not to mention DIFFERENT ACTORS.
They are two different universes with too many differences in the character's personality of Supergirl, it can't work.
