Yep, I feel the same. But if there's one character that's never going to die it's Caroline. She died once to become a vampire and that's it, while every other character has died at least once since then.

werent they all friends at one time? And from what I am hearing Sibil made Damon kill Tyler (correct me if i am wrong) so maybe there is some guilt on his part that he couldnt stop his brother or he feel responsible for Damon's lack of control. Stefan can be as if the all the burden of the world is on his shoulders.
