Family Matters was a great show, but Urkel ruined it. His character was so annoying and pathetic it destroyed anything good about Family Matters. Who else thinks this guy is a bum actor?

Steve Urkel was the main character, if not, the second main character of the show. If you didn't like Jaleel White's character, you most likely would not have liked the show. What character DID you like if you said you liked the show?
In "Smart Guy" I hated "TJ" (tahj mowry), I thought he was annoying, arrogant, and well, no one just gets born, and then all of a sudden he or she knows everything about everything as soon as they are born. And his bossyness, smack talkingness, etc really got on my nerves, but I liked "Marcus'" character.

Then don't watch the show. Steve will be there always, Get over it. He isn't a bad actor. I find it impressive how he can switch into his high pitched voice and act out the nerdy part. What kind of losers are on this board? Christ.

For your information Jaleel White saved the show single handedly and if it wasn't for his Urkel charator the show would not of 5b4lasted as long as it did. Jaleel White is a great actor and always will be and you need to remember one thing that famous people have feeling like you and me. Its wrong to talk bad about them!
