We've already had this whole, "who is the good brother" discussion. They're both sh-t, but at least Stefan tries to change for the better and strives to be the best person he can be. That's the main difference and reducing it to these black and white "are you the good sister or the bad sister" categories is really trite and diminishes the progress of the past 7 seasons. I'm glad Stefan answered with the "I'm both". I hope that's the end of that storyline of trying to make him into a Type.
