Me and the rest of the family were raised wacthing his variety show each week.
The skit we loved the most was his visit from the Cookie Bear,
and how each time the beat would try to get his own cookie.
I best recall the time Andy gave the bear a cookie, but then started to chip away at it collecting taxes,finders and filing fees and munched away till the cookie was all gone, and the deflated expression on the bear.

I've always thought the Dancing Bear on Captain Kangaroo, the Andy Williams "Cookie Bear" and "Hashtag" on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon are very similar characters, comedy-wise.
