RIP, Andy Williams. You're a happy memory of a 60's childhood, from the parents' "Easy Listening" stations, dad's "Hi-fi" turntable and your Christmas Specials with your family.
This song, probably my favorite one, will never sound the same-

There's a backstory to this song. Doc Pomus who wrote the hit and AW didn't connect and Doc never couldn't forgive him for giving him no acknowledgement whatsoever.

I have the same warm memories of my childhood with my parents listening to him on the "Hi-Fi". Sadly, this was not unexpected as he was sick for a long time, but no less heartbreaking. Moon River is probably of the most beautifully written and sung songs in my lifetime. I will never hear it again without thinking of Andy williams. it meant more to me than "Breakfast at Tiffany's". May you be out of pain and be in peace. You were loved.
Remember us, for we too have lived, loved and laughed
