<p dir="auto">To think how he lost his mind. I was watching this documentary on him and his dealings with Landy and the guy exhibited obvious symptoms of someone under completely mind control by someone else. It was like he had the mind of a naive child.<br />
And he hears voices? What started that? Was it a bad acid trip like Syd Barrett that caused him to lose his mind?<br />

<p dir="auto">It's very similar to Syd Barret but both were such pioneers that to NOT take acid at that stage (as did The Beatles) would have felt not true to their intellect and emotion expanding selves. To a man, they were and are true hippies in that they sought pure love. It was also a kind of throwback to the Victorian age of Lewis Carroll and acid was stepping Through The Looking Glass. It's kind of saddeningly incredible how dull life started to become in the 70s, embraced by a non fun loving public</p>
