I would love to see him on Doctor Who or Torchwood, but I don't know if I could see him as the Doctor. I definitely think he could pull it off, but I think it'd just be weird, cause in my mind he'll always be Methos and there are a lot of similarities between Methos and the Doctor I think he could definitely pull it off, but a lot of people will see Methos But I agree, I would love to see him possibly on Torchwood as another Time Agent I would love to see him act alongside John Barrowman. -tries not to imagine a kiss.. and fails miserably-

I don't know, as much as I liked him on Highlander, I just think there are too many similarities between Methos and The Doctor, and seeing him as The Doctor would just be strange.
I would prefer him playing a long term potential back up character on Who. Perhaps another Time Agent, along the lines of Captain Jack, and Captain John!

Im, at the moment watching highlander endgame i know ive seen his face before but i couldnt think where from, just before i went on onto this site it came to me where i had seen him before, holby city . ive seen all the highlander films but ive never watched the series so didnt know he was a regular character.
But my greatest shock was when i read his resume was that he was born in cardiff. I was born in Newport but all my life ive lived in cardiff.The more i think about it "and im a huge dr who fan" i think he could be the next doctor hopefuly Russel t Davies will become aquainted with this actor and think of him when he thinks about David Tennants replacement. Keep it real keep it Welsh. i personally think he would make a great doctor.

I think he could. When he was Methos on Highlander he had a really dry sarcastic sense of humor which I think would work well for The Doctor.

Peter is very good in comedy, although he hasn't done that many things. (Till Death in High111clander, Halloween Town II, Murder Most Horrid, Trust Me) In person, he is very funny with a quick wit. Ask anyone who's seen him at a convention.

It would be interesting to see Wingfield as Doctor Who. Always thought he was an interesting actor to watch. But I agree with Checker..can he do humor? I really haven't seen him do anything funny. Then again, some of the seemingly most serious actors are actually very funny in real life.
But hey, I am NOT ready to see DT leave any time soon.

I think that would be great, but I don't see it happening. From what I read a few days ago about the fact he is done filming Holby City, he said he likes movie work better.

The short-lived and incomplete, cartoon series is on the web in a couple of places. Just do a search for Methos Chronicles. Someone on YouTube has created their own version, and the drawing is better, but of course, the voice isn't Peter.

Put that forward on the Dr. Who thread, I would really like to know what they would have to say. But I have to say he looks a bit too much like Eccleston, especially when you put them side by side with the Methos long black coat and Eccleston in the black leather coat Hmmm, and they even kinda look a like. Yeah, I say put it forward with 1c84the die-hard Who fans and see what you get. But I do have to say Tennant isn't going anywhere for a llllooong time if he has anything to say about it.
Love Peter though, great actor even if he isn't around all that much. Wish the new Highlander wasn't going to suck so much and his character wasn't, apparently, going to get the shaft. Do any of you know how to get a hold of the Methos cartoon series? Thanks.
