I guess it is confusing for many people because Jewish is both an ethnicity and a religion. I guess converts could experience anti-Semitism, but they aren't Semitic. Evan, for instance, is completely of Western European heritage and is not Jewish by birth. So I don't know who makes up the rules with this, but I thought Jewish was a stricter religion when it came to converts than Christianity.

But her mother converted after she divorced Evan's father in 1997. So Evan and her older brothers are of the tribe even though they are not of the Jewish ethnicity. Her mother, Sara Lynn Moore, is like Ivanka Trump, Isla Fisher, Elizabeth Banks, Lyndsy Fonseca's mother Lima Dworkin, Lauren Cohan's mother, Jenna Jameson, Tom Arnold, Rahm Emanuel's wife Amy Rule, and the rest of the lily white people who have converted to Judaism for their spouses. Evan is Jewish. It doesn't matter that she is not Jewish 'by blood.'

And after this election, really, who would want to be white besides racists? I imagine more white people will convert to Judaism to disassociate themselves from Trump.

The only reason I had a problem with Evan saying she's Jewish is I considered it a ruse to help her career. Since as we know it helps to be Jewish. I don't know her, but I get the impression she isn't practicing Judaism. But whatever, people affiliate themselves with Scientology trying to help their careers. People may find it convenient to convert to Judaism in Hollywood too.

She doesn't need to convert if her mother has. She was raised Jewish and she identifies as being Jewish. I can only tell you as being a member of a Reform Congregation, she is considered Jewish. I believe she would also with Conservative Congregations. I could not advise on the Orthodox Community.

Being Jewish, I can tell you, Evan Rachel Wood is considered Jewish. Whoever posted the Jewish community would not accepted her as truly being Jewish is completely false. Judaism does not have missionaries or seek to convert non Jews. When someone converts, it is of their own choosing. A Rabbi will challenge those wishing to convert three times. A converted Jew is fully accepted.

Finally someone agrees with me. I think Evan got sick of signing in under a bunch of fake accounts to defend herself. Yeah, it's fine to convert, but technically she will never be truly Jewish.

Well, there is lots of Jews where I live. The real ones, not just descendants. They do accept converted people to have their faith and all but they also say those people will never be 'real' Jews by blood because It's something you have to inherit and frankly It couldn't be more obvious to me. If I was Italian blood(for example) for a generations and one day decided convert to Jewish, you really think I could be Jewish as Jews are2000? No. It will never be real.
