no. I could technically not use one or the other if I want. I control it all with my phone. they work together to create an efficient heating and cooling system that saves money and energy while also making my HVAC setup a carbon neutral climate control system.

It is by far the most efficient as they do perform at lower costs…but you pay a price by not ever being truly warm and comfortable on cold daze or cool on hot daze…they suck
