Is it true that when Turner and Novak guested on "Falcon Crest", Wyman didn't get along with them?

I can believe that Jane and Kim got along well. I heard and saw Kim interviewed this past summer at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood and she was very sweet and humble. When someone asked if she socialized with Lana Turner or Marilyn Monroe or others of that ilk she intimated that she thought they were much bigger stars than her, and she was intimidated by them, which goes to show that she was not an arrogant woman. From what I've read, Kim was a huge star in the mid 50s, but she didn't seem to have believed it at the time.

Working in television and working in film are very different. Jane moved into television early (in 1955 after the tremendous success of Magnificent Obsession) forming her own production company and producing her own drama anthology "The Jane Wyman Show" for 3 seasons. The money from the syndica5b4tion of the show essentially funded her retirement and kept her out the horror films and assorted other trash that Turner took to pay her bills through the 60's and 70's. Turner tried television but didn't have the discipline for the demanding shooting schedule and quick set-ups required for TV. Someone, maybe Bob Mackie, worked on Lana's lone TV effort (The Survivors) and describes them shooting Turner's stand in wearing Turner's character's hat and when Turner comes to set looking for the hat for the close-up and they explain she says that's her (the stand-ins) hat where's mine? She thought she was still at MGM. Wyman came up the hard way, years as a chorus girl and extra before landing a contract. She was at Warner's for 7 years, starting in the B unit making programmers before she broke through with The Lost Weekend in 45. She was a major movie star between 45-55 she was on the cover of magazines, had hit records, won numerous awards etc.
Her reported line in regards to Turner was she thought it was a bit much when she took a limo to the loo. Lana Turner wasn't Jane Wyman's kind of people. Reports that she had Turner axed are probably accurate. Kim also had a quick rise but she wasn't of Jane's era and they were reported to have gotten along well.

Neither Lana or Kim was meant to be a full-fledged regular on FALCON CREST, they were just guest stars for a somewhat extended period. Just like Gina Lollobridga, Celeste Holm, and Eve Arden.
Jane Wyman was a down to earth lady and certainly not jealous or threatened by any of these ladies. However, by most accounts Lana thought herself a "SPECIAL guest star" and acted accordingly by her second or third appearance on the show (Jane and Lana had happily posed for photos together during the first filmings) which probably irked Jane and the powers at FALCON CREST probably decided to kill off Lana's character to avoid any future drama on the set.
Kim was never meant to be a full regular and in fact openly stated in many interviews at the time that hers was only a guest role and she had no plans to become a true regular on the program.

I remember a story about Kim leaving a kitten (toy)in Jane's dressing room, Jane thought it was alive, they had a good laugh.Jane kept it to the end.

I hear that there was tension between Lana and Jane because Lana insisted on being driven everywhere including to the bathroom just off the soundstage - while Jane and the other case members walked. Lana was a great star but wasn't above pulling her weight I guess. I always thought Jane was a far superior actress. Not sure what the deal was with Kim Novak.

That's truealthough I think she mostly had a problem with Turner (apparently she was late all the time and Wyman was known for not putting up with actors who were late to set)
