IMDB states her birth year as 1917. Further reading on IMDB, there is a statement that some sources credit her birth yearas 1914 making her one of the few actresses to make herself older than she was. These two birth years and that statement conflict! It also states "In 1932, after attending the University of Missouri, she began her career as a radio singer". In 1932, with a birth year of 1917, Miss Wyman would have been fifteen years of age. Considering the statement that she dropped out of high school for a while to work, she must have graduated high school at a young age to be attending college at age 15.
One of the contributors' comments that Miss Wyman and her mother moved back in 1930 so that she could finish her high school education. In 1930, she would be thirteen years old with a birth year of 1917.
Does anyone know her birth year? It isn't important, she always looked youthful. Miss Wyman was always a class act, and she was a consummate actress of immense and vast talent. Comedy, drama, romance, suspense..she excelled at them all.

Check on her official website jane-wyman.com it talks about that on the homepage. Her actual year of birth was 1917, she had made herself 3 years older so she could be legal to work without parents authorization or anything.
