We're really not at odds, here. We both agree that the results were less than satisfying. However, she wasn't acting in a vacuum. We have no idea the level of autonomy she had in crafting the role. She had a director to please, someone whose job it was to monitor just the elements you've mentioned.
Yeah, she dropped the ball; I'm not making excuses for a lackluster performance. But the fault isn't hers alone. She should never have been cast in this role in the first place.

Including the Daisy character in the Dead Like Me: Life After Death project would have been fine had they cast someone who could capture the essence of the established portrayal. Sarah Wynter was simply miscast. Blame the producers for their choice, not Ms. Wynter.

She was bad in the show.

IMDB is wrong in this case. The movie credits do credit Sarah Wynter as Daisy Adair. She does her best but I have to say that I agree with other people that are saying Daisy should have been written out. Why not write Sarah a new character where she isn't facing all the comparisons. I think she'll be good in the show. I just think that they could have done a better job of writing her in than the magical face change.

I had heard she was in the Dead Like Me movie too, but now I was just on the DLM movie page and it lists Laura Harris as Daisydoes anyone know what is going on?

She would need massive plastic surgery to pull off Daisy. Also a vocal chord transplant from the original actress. Actors who take on roles of actors who could not reprise the role due to other commitments (or are not interested in doing so) are jokes.

I don't think she'll be as good a Daisy as Laura Harris was but I'm willing to give her a chance.

That was my EXACT thought!!!!! I was like woooooahhhh, Laura Harris and Sarah Wynter were Kate and Marie Warner. How funny! I kept telling my boyfriend all through season 2 that Laura Harris is in this awesome show called Dead Like me and how he should watch it, Ironic that Sarah steps in for her in DLM.

Not a good actress at all - or at least the role didn't make me see it.

I have not seen her in anything, but I'm certainly going to give her a chance in Dead Like Me. I'm just tickled it's coming back.

Yeah I think she won't be able to pull it off as well. Who knows? Maybe there will be a new something extra that the old Daisy was missing. But I don't think she has the look for Daisy. And I'm not sure if her and Callum Blue (Mason) can work as well together.
