opportunities for Asians aren't the same as it is for white actors and british black actors. Based on the roles she was getting in Hollywood, they had no intention of making her successful.

She got rush hour and memoirs of geisha. Asians didn't get main roles in hollywood, so that's pretty good back in the day for her. Probably also language barrier I also the making of her in rush hour 2 and they had to do so many takes with her
