I finally saw Into the Woods tonight, and after slogging through the last half hour, the credits rolled and when I saw the name Mackenzie Mauzy I freaked. I went to elementary school with her in Pennsylvania. I remember she was the pretty new girl and all the other girls were threatened by it. She had a flair for the dramatic even back then. I remember her singing the Star Spangled Banner in 5th grade, and instead of "war's desolation" she said "the war's desolation" - I think the timing helped the run for her voice. Every single girl copied her when they sang it.
