who thinks her music style has been changing? No disrespect to those who admires her, I still think she's great and talented but some of the songs she's throwing out there are different but not in a good way IMO. Although I'll admit that I like the unthinkable song

I'm very glad that you agree sunnydaze, and I do thought also that she was a genius back then. What I find particularly sad though is that everytime a musician cuts through the line and tries to follow up the general crowd, they start to lose their own statement, you know what i mean, that special something that make an artist unique.I mean, i'm no one to criticize the fact that an artist want to do something for a change, which is also good because once you fell into a repetitive pattern everyone start saying that is more of the same but i think is important also trying to keep somehow your primordial roots..
I couldn't agree more.

I agree. I liked her first and second album, after that I've only liked maybe one or two songs off of each album. When I saw her first performance I thought she was a musical genius now I don't see a MUSICAL genius. I believe she is business savvy and will be incredibly rich because of all the songs that she writes for various artists and owns.
Unfortunately I no longer hear "genius" when she performs. I see and hear an average pop star who caved in to the masses. Every now and then you can catch a glimpse of her talent when she plays an "intro" on the piano but I guess that didn't sell enough for her so we won't be hearing much of it.

Well Lola, you're right her debut album was amazing but I also liked the second one because it's still had the elements of soul music, her new songs are on the borderline of pop music which, is not wrong but nothing new IMO

Definitely, she has never topped her debut album in my opinion. From that onshe has lost something.

Oh those were my thoughts exactly!!! You stole them from my mind
I love the The Dairy of Alicia Keys from beginning to end but that song you mentioned(try sleeping with a broken heart) is not precisely my favorite
