You know what I noticed? Being both a huge fan of 5b4American Idol and Britain's Got Talent, I noticed that he is not nearly as mean on BGT than he is on AI. I think he is generally a critical and harsh person (when it comes to his job), but on AI he is down right rude and often says things that make no sense- telling very talented singers that they're bad, and I remember in one season he actually rejected a very good singer just because he said if he won the competition he would give the money to a charity, instead of spending it on materialistic things! That was total BS. I don't know if he's paid to be that way, or if he does it on purpose just to provide entertainment and drama, but I don't think it's real. He can show self control and a mild manner on BGT

The audition process itself is just an act. I don't mean that every applicant is a fake, but I do mean to say that bad acts are deliberately chosen to audition in front of the TV judges, for entertainment purposes. I know this because someone I know in Phoenix, named Joyce, auditioned once, and I can attest to the fact that she's a GREAT singer. But she was turned down because she was an opera-style singer, and not a pop singer. But she did tell me that if she had been accepted, she would have had to go through two or three more levels of auditions before finally getting to audition for the judges you see on TV.
Obviously, no one could possibly get
that
far in the audition process by being a bad singer. Unless, of course, producers wanted to throw some bad acts into the mix for ratings purposes. Either the producers are holding a "pig party" of sorts, or they're telling some people to sing badly on prupose, to make the audition portions of the show more interesting. I'm just surprised more people haven't figured this out yet.
