I thought Abigail Breslin was excellent in both The Call and Maggie.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

I've loved her since Signs. Every syllable she speaks in that film is a scene stealer yet so simultaneously natural. She was five? and her concentration was immeasurable.

I've seen The Call and don't remember her being bad in it, but I'm watching Final Girl now and she's just awful. Her delivery isn't convincing and she can't control facial expressions. She comes across as a random girl picked off the street, not a professional actress.

Awww, I like her acting (though I've only seen a little of her) It might depend on the movie/director though. I've been hearing really bad things about her in The Final Girl, but that movie looks all around badly directed so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the issue

I agree, I really like her and I'll often watch her movies because of her.
She's gorgeous but I really don't like her acting. She's really bland and wooden as a performer.

I think she underacts sometimes and is too casual with it.
She knows her craft. That's why. She's subtle because that is what the role requires. I hate overactors anyways. In August Osage County she acted circles around some of those "actors" because they thought they were in a play not in a movie.

Acting ability: poor.
