It's so annoying! She never gets nominated for an Emmy/Golden Globe/SAG. She is so underrated- she's the best character and lights up the screen with what little air time she gets. America Ferrera and Vanessa Williams are amazing too but Becki's just as good (if not better)and should be nominated!

I agree! She's truly hilarious as Amanda, she's been cracking me up since day one. I particularly remember the episode when that guy who won Project Runway was on and she kept on modelling like those tall girls!!! I still giggle when I think about it - Oh! and that time Justin's friends went to mode. HILARIOUS!
Basically, that's why I don't really believe in award shows, but truth be told she's amazing on Ugly Betty.

I came here on IMBD to see what awards she has been nominated for/won and I was surprised to see none
agree with everything here, her and Michael Urie are the only reasons I still watch this show

they make the show funny 🙂
Amanda is my favourite character though

She's absolutely amazing!
I just rewatched episode 2.05 where Amanda created all these "profiles" for Betty's online dating thing she did.
She created "I love Tacos" and so on. Third down the list, Betty realises it's Amanda's doing and calls out "Amanda, you're not funny".
OMG! I couldn't stop watching. Becki Newton forever.
She has to be nominated because I'm getting sick of her not be recognised.

Yeah definitely Michael Urie too. His and Becki's comic timing are so perfect- they're are so in sync with each other! I watch the show for they're brilliance together! They can't continue to keep on getting overlooked!

i totally agree. the problem with these types of award shows is that they always choose the main stars of the shows and always overlook or ignore actors who are just as good in their role as america and vanessa. becki and michael (urie) should both be nominated- those two crack me up as amanda and marc. they are definitely the stars of the show
