I have to say that you're clueless and you need to look up the definition of superstar.

In my opinion, she is a rising star. Maybe in the future, she could be "the only one female Bollywood superstar". Personally, I don't like her work and I don't find her specially pretty. But it is just a matter of taste. In spite I'm not Indian and I've never been in that country, I can notice that people like Katrina a lot. For the public, she is one of their favourite young actresses. So, she has chances to become a superstar but I think that at the present, she is not.

She's not the only female 'superstb68ar' in Bollywood. Maybe the biggest right now but Kareena, Priyanka, Deepika and even Sonam are not far off. That said, she's only a 'superstar' because she's pretty and is/was dating Salman Khan and guys go to watch her movies because they find her attractive. Acting talent this girl has none. This is what is wrong with Bollywood today: talented actors like Konkona Sen Sharma and Tabu are never in the limelight while pretty faces with wooden expressions are in the media 24/7. At least Hollywood audiences got tired of Megan Fox after a while and let her fade away so why can't Bollywood audiences do the same to Katrina?

Katrina, Kareena and Priyanka are all equally bitchy to each other because they know either can replace the other and are fighting for the same films, where as a Rani Mukherji, or a Aishwarya role is essentially written with them in mind. These new actresses seem to be a new generation of provocative dressers too, bikinis etc wouldnt not see the light of day in a Juhi Chawla, Madhuri, Sri Devi, Taboo movie. in my opinion Aishawarya is still the ruling queen of bollywood, with such variety of roles done with such ease she has never been type cast as a filler, or simple item girl, she seems to have role of substance in each one of her movies. she was hott in Action Replayyy too.

Katrina Kaif is the most sucessfully actress, because she pick great films.
and this is something we cant take from her, dont matter what people say about her talent. i am not really a Katrina fan, but according to me she is the most successful actress in BOllywood. More hit than flop, no actress in any generaion a great hit ratio like Katrina. today in bollywood MOST Superstar dont show there talent, since the public now dont look at talent, only looks at entertainment.
but seriously people need to give people a chance. and stop writing off them just because they give poor performance in a few films, because all the star have given poor performance. but ofcourse people wouldn't see that.

everyone have there times. look at today of my favorite ALL - TIME actress Kajol. i have grow up seeing Kajol and not Maduri and Sri devi,etc but i dont denied they are legand. But they had there times.
Kajol is a great actress did many many great roles. yes as everyone some time she over acted, but her overacting performance were still good, because she makes it look good. since she is my favorite all time star i would pick her over anyone dont matter what and this is how everyone is who hates a curtain star because they are more famous than your favorite and they would try and bring up all the bad quality of that star, instead of talking about THEIR favorite star they bash others star they hated, which actually they given more fame to the star they hated. and also makes the star they hated a hotter topic than they own favorite star. so ofcoruse their favorite star gets less fame. now going more feature. when the title of the start they hated come up on the other website, instead of ignoring it and let that article drop dead, since they hate that star, they started to post dislike thing, but they dont realise dont matter what u write good or bad, it's making that star famous, then u will want to know how can these people be famous.
To be honest i think most people hardly watch most of Kareena films, she is talented, it's just because Her crappy performance Films are more recognized than her great performance films. Films like K3G, Mujhe Dosti Karoge, Main Prem Ke Deewani Hoon, Golmaal 2 and 3 and Kambhak Ishq.
but her her performance in these were good, now if these are bad performance,well then maybe good performance must be very outstanding, because these type of performance were gone by many stars, well as normal everyone have there favour, plus everyone believe the gossipe more than true in the media, since everyone just read what media say and put there views on it but kareena did act good in these film and her performance were good. Refugee, Dev, Aitraaz, Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, Dosti, Bewafaa, Chup Chup Ke, Omkara, Kurbaan and we are family.
back to the media in recent times, we are getting more expose to the media then the olden day, so more gossip and so on will spread, which the likes of Maduri, Sridevi,etc didnt get expose to if not it would of been the same, beacuse Gossip is something which of course people are quick to believe. plus alot of people started to hate kareena, when she break up with shaid, unfortunately everyone in this world does the same, star are human being just like everyone, and everyone does make mistakes, it's just the stars get hunt down alot and Kareena is the biggest new in Bollywood, Because if people didnt want to ever read of Kareena, here gossip article would never sell and the media wouldnt talk about her. i know this because i am part of a magazine, not in india. and what ya have to look for is the biggest news in town.want people wants to read. if it's gossip or the true it's all part of life of a magazine for it to sell.
Well finally everyone have there likes and there dislike. yet we fight with each other saying this star is better and this star is crappy,etc. while ALL the stars out there is rich. while we out here struggling in these hard time, see if u can ask your favorite star for a few $$ ad see that they say.
anyway. they earn there right to be there and if there famous, they are famous. it's something we cant take from them, because like Everyone one say they will not be there and will be forgotten5b4 as generation goes by and other people get there favorite in those generation it's all part of the film business.

Why? Because that statement is ridiculous. Katrina Kaif may be the latest hottest potato out there, but there are, were and will be plenty of other superstars out there. While I agree that actresses like Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba, Sonam Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, Mallika Sherawat and even Priyanka Chopra are at a lesser level of fame, how is Deepika Padukone not a superstar? Kareena Kapoor? Kajol? Aishwarya Rai? While they may currently be hasbeens, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji were at the top of the heap three yea1c84rs ago and had that superstar status. Just like Madhuri Dixit, Hema Malini, Sharmila Tagore, Helen and countless others had that status and are still remembered as superstars.
If you had to choose only one female Bollywood actress for superstar status, I'm sorry, but it has to be Aishwarya Rai. Why? Because whatever I, you, or anyone else may think about her, she remains the highest-paid actress in Bollywood, and literally the only Bollywood actress people who don't live in India and have never seen a Bollywood movie have probably heard of. I'm sorry, I have nothing against Katrina Kaif but they've never, ever heard of her.
In short, declaring Katrina Kaif "The Only Female Bollywood Superstar" is akin to calling Ranbir Kapoor "The Only Male Bollywood Superstar"utterly ridiculous.
Drop it like it's legal precedent!

Kat is the hottest property in Bollywood right now, no one can deny that! Whether she can act or not, she MAKES money! Raajneeti would've never been such a big hit without her & Ranbir Kapoor's presence. People loved them in Ajab Prem.. and they wanted to watch them onscreen together again!
She is the ambassador of India's biggest brands.. People said she will lose out after two or three hits, but now she has had 10 consecutive hits and that says something! She is here to stay! Deal with it!
And I'm noticing an improvement in her acting techniques with each film, she should be able to perfect her roles quite soon! Besides, working with biggest banners and actors helps A LOT! Not to mention, she is gorgeous! Prettier than Priyanka Chopra for sure (who's not even that pretty in the first place) and gives Aishwarya Rai a run for her money (that woman has aged now, others are bound to replace her). Kareena Kapoor is her only competition right now!

true, she is a superstar, just more acting experience, and she might improve, i think she can rule like sridevi did in all 80s decade and early 90s, but sridevi was imenssly gifted actress as well as beautiful, katrina has the looks and will need to improve on her acting. Kareena overacts, I like priyanka.
