They're different, but I get the same vibe from him as I do from Connor. Just can't help but smile when he appears on screen.
And they both have the same adorable look with the head slightly bowed but eyes looking up.

Something about his eyes and mouth I wouldn't mistake him for Connor Trinneer, but I see what you mean.
