I totally agree with your order ! (Did you come up with it yourself?) I'm pleased you're not one of those who doesn't appreciate the warm , dark , beauty of Blue Jay Way. Flying and Your Mother Should Know are great songs but not essential for a succinct album. Flying's spirit's covered by Blue Jay Way.
Your act 1 is introduction / jubilation - Penny Lane belongs there, with its friendly shopkeepers. It's Brian Wilson-lite (and ELO are Paul McCartney-lite). They are entirely McCartney songs.
Your act 2 is the entirely Lennon/Harrison beautifully surreal twist in proceedings, a sometimes dark Lewis Carroll-like world.
Your act 3 appropriately carries on from act 2 by starting with the best reminder that McCartney can, on occasion, be pastorally surreal in his own way. You can even imply that the man thinking himself to be the walrus is seen by others as just a fool on a metaphorical hill of his own intellect2000 or ego. Then, the only truly 50/50 Lennon/McCartney collaboration, Baby Your A Rich Man, telling us that we've 'come so very far' in the album , that we're now emotionally richer and asking what do we want to be. And then the answer - it matters far less what you want to be than that you have, and feel, love.
The original album messed up the ordering. You've given it narrative sense.
