I think Selena is better liked than Ariana. Despite Ari being a slightly better singer.

Well currently this year yes, but she is no way more accomplished. Ariana sold 30 million records worldwide in 2014-2015 and was inside the top 10 of Billboard all year 2014. In 2016, everybody is selling more than Ariana but she will come back soon.
