The Grammy nominees were announced today, and to my complete surprise, the Confident album snagged a nomination in the Best Pop Vocal Album category with other nominees Sia, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Adele.
I normally don't care a lot about the Grammys since the ones that I feel should win rarely do, but I must shamelessly admit that this is great news as a longtime Demi fan. Especially since I didn't expect her to receive Grammy recognition until further in her career, much less with the Confident album. The way I saw it, Confident was a weaker album then her previous two, so I didn't hold my breath. Demi has said repeatedly that this has been a career goal for her, so glad to see it happen!
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think she has a shot at winning?

I'm so happy for her. She deserved it. I doubt she'll win, though (even if she's the most deserving of the nominees). Knowing the general public, they'll probably vote for Adele or Ariana. Justin Bieber better not win, though. I'll lose all hope for humanity if he dob68es.
