The original Candyman's story was created by a white english guy iirc. I think there was a certain resentment towards that, hence why they remade it with hack Peele and his race obsessed minions. Screw 'em. A good story is a good story no matter who makes it. Making it black doesn't make it better.

Have you seen the candyman remake? I liked the original movie. Can't imagine how bad the remake would be. There's no reason to re-do that movie other than to shove an agenda down our throats.
