By now, I've given it a good listen on Ruckus. Overall, I like it but I'm sure I like it as much as Chariot. As a matter of fact, I know I don't like it as much as Chariot. Chariot was the first album I was obsessed with in a long time, while his new album definetly has some songs I'll be playing on repeat for quite some time, I don't think I'll be playing the whole CD multiple times a day, every day. I was hoping he would change up his sound slightly. One thing I was hoping would be different from Chariot is using such pop-ish music when he has a soulful voice, but the music was still good. My favorite songs on the new album are 'Young Love' and 'Let it Go.' I'll buy it in the near future.

I agree. Chariot is a classic. I dig the new album though. I think it's really groovy. Gavin can do no wrong in my eyes. Not to rain on your parade jbphil84, but your "perfect guy" is a slut. I used to feel the same way about him but I read a few stories about him and his groupies and now I'm just hoping he gets tested for STDs regularly.

lasirenn,
I feel exactly the way you do about it. I loved "Chariot" because I loved all the songs on the album. There wasn't one that I disliked it. It took me awhile to get used to the new rockish Gavin. I do like the new Gavin album, and love the songs "We Belong Together, "I'm in Love with a Girl", "Cop Stop", and "Next to You". But I don't like it as much as I love the first album. I love Gavin, he's my favorite singer. His music is filled with so much depth and meaning. Gavin's also my "perfect guy".
