I have been getting letters from the US census Bureau about scheduling an appointment so they can ask about household income and such. Does anyone know if it us something I can say that I don't want to participate in, or am I obligated to do it and they will jyst keep bothering me until I do. They've mailed letters and personally left notes a couple times at my house when I wasn't at home.

I did it, but first checked on Google if the SIPP survey was required. It actually is voluntary, but I figured that I'd do my good deed for the decade and took the survey since it was over the phone.

You'd better do it or they'll never leave you alone. It's kinda compulsory.

I thought that at first, but it wasn't just the ordinary census info, but something called SIPP.

Just keep putting it off. What are they going to do, arrest you? Maybe, but you won't know until you try and if you don't try then you'll always wonder.
