Why do people treat celebrities like they're royalty?
I'll never understand why anybody hero worships another human being. I can admire their talent, I can be impressed by their intellect, I can be humbled by their generosity and thoughtfulness, but I'll never be enthralled by their existence and feel any kind of emotional connection to them. Those feelings are reserved for family and friends.
All people are just people. We live in a very weird time. Perhaps society is missing its spirituality and celebrity worship fills that void?

I find it odd that so many Americans seem to worship the Royals as celebrities.

I'm not one for liking 'celebrities' and people in the public eye. There are a few exceptions to this but generally I have no interest or opinion on people I don't know and I will never know. And I take zero interest in what goes on in their life.
But yeah, I don't get why this one particular woman is vilified so much and I find it strange that so many people take the time to hate on her. To me it's weird.

Yeah, it's nuts how much hate she gets. She could save a puppy from a burning building and she'd still probably get attacked for wearing the wrong shoes or something.

I don't care that much either. I don't really pay all that much attention to the royal family, but I just think the hate for this woman is excessive.

I actually have no opinion either way. I have no interest in the family and don't give a flying **** what any of them are fighting over or what their personalities are like. I have my own life to worry about.

If a person's whole family despises them, their in-laws refuse to have anything to do with them, and all of their friendships are short term, ending acrimoniously, I think it's a fair assumption that they're a ****.
It's impossibly unlikely that literally every single person who gets to know her personally is wrong and she's actually a nice person.
