I agree he does seem a littleee conceited. Being confident is great, but im watching Duets right now and he comes off like he thinks he just the greatest thing. Not to mention the way he talks down about other singers (demi lovato) who totally has pipes!

I think he's smug too, in an unearned confident kinda way. The same way many young people who "made it" through nepotism or through dumb luck in the entertainment biz behave with their new found fame. In Mr. "Legend"'s case it has to do with his penchant for playing a celebrity rather than being the supposed talented musician he is.

He is not smug. He is actually quite kind and respectful. He is a bit quiet at first, but that changes over time. I see what you mean he has a quietb68ness about him that may give off the wrong vibe, but it is quite the opposite.

Watch an interview with him. He's not smug at all. If you're talking about the attitude he gives in music videos and stuff, that is the style of American love songs. Everyone is confident and sexualized.
