As to why, well because they want to; because they like the style; because they can; for another film part - many reasons, but mainly because it isn't their role in life to please you!

I wouldn't say it was concerning but why the need for a thread about her hair cut?! I find boards now, especially those for actresses, focus so much on their looks - their weight, hair, how they're ageing etc (either that or who they look like) - and not on their performances that it's both boring and depressing
