You DO realize she unwillingly dropped out of Carol, right? Maybe if the film hadn't taken two years to get made she'd have stayed aboard. We'll never know.

So what? It's not all about awards (although I'll admit that I'd love to see Mia winning an Oscar one day - she's my favorite of this generation).
I do agree that Therese and Valentine were great parts and would've loved seeing her in both films opposite Cate and Juliette, but in the end there's such a thing as scheduling conflicts and you gotta make choices She must've had her reasons to drop out. In the end, she's only 25 and has already built an impressive resume with formidable leading AND supporting roles. I'd say she's on the right path and also has a great agent.

Ok then, second guessing herself. Kris won a Cesar for Sils and now Rooney won the Palme d'or for the other.

Like the previous poster said, Mia nonetheless scored those parts, and already has her pick of the litter of roles at only 25, so you're hardly in a position to judge her or her agent.
And she's playing the principal lead (not in someone else's star vehicle). I think her agent might deserve a bouquet of roses for nailing the much buzzed about "Crimson Peak", with Mia as the heroine. I also would anticipate the upcoming "Alice Through the Looking Glass", again a big film with Mia in the lead, as being worth a nod of approval. Mia is also about to begin filming "Brimstone" - again, Mia is the lead protagonist. Becoming established as the principal lead in films is very difficult these days, and much more so for a female; doing it with creative, high quality, adult efforts (no comic book, Y.A. stuff), is phenomenal for someone in their 20's. Her agent i2000s to be applauded.

As much as it sucks that Mia had to drop out of Carol, she resembles Cate Blanchett too much and would've looked more like her daughter in the film. Plus, it took too damn long to get off the ground (two years).

What does that have to do with her agent? She got both of those roles and left for her own reasons, but the point is she GOT them so her agent did the work properly.
