I noticed it, as well and I am thrilled. Seriously, you could say that Ted may have harbored some subconscious feelings for Lily and so fell for a girl just like her, but I really dig the fact that Ted fell for a girl that looks so similar to the two most important women in his adult life.

I think Cristin Milioti is a cross between Alyson Hannigan(Lily) and Summer Glau, with a little Jennifer Love Hewitt thrown in.

I find Her and Alyson Hannigan have a very similar facial structure and design. Only, Cristin's face is a little smaller.[Just something I noticed, not meaning to be harsh in [my] critiques on either.]

ya a friend of mine this morning posted on facebook they showed the girl with the yellow umbrella aka mrs. moseby.
when i saw her thought she was alyssa mulano she looks a bit like her.
but i can definately see the parallels to lilly and robin. i woder whats the relation?? lily's cousin or sister??
sister would be too creepy for me as ted, marshell and lily have been bestfriends FOREVER which means ted has had to of met their families (mom dad sisters brothers) at one point in time. but a 2nd cousin or the like would be fine (lily's grandfather's brother's/sister's son's/daughter's daughter..)
their still in the extended family just same last name if its boys or diffrent last names if girls going by traditional marrage takeing the guys name..

Same here! I didn't see the episode but when heard the mother was shown, I came here to see what she lo1354oks like - and yes, I see Alyson Hanigan all over that face. And people say when she smiles she looks like Robin, and I can definitely see that too.

When i was told by my bf i saw a pic and thought it was Lily's (Alsyon) younger Sister. She got an alikness of her.
Plus the voice i only heard abit sound like (Alsyon)

I had a similar thought, but to me she looks more like a cross between Lily and the Indian-British girl Barney dated for a while.

I love this casting. When she's not smiling she looks a lot like Lilly. When she smiles - you can see some Robin. And yes, the kids look like her. Plus she's a good actress, but unknown enough not to have baggage for the role. Perfect!

She also bears some resemblance to Lindsy Fonseca! Excellent casting choice!
