I heard she was considered for the role in Iron Man 2 before Scarlett Johansson was cast,I like Scarlett in the role but I think Elena would have been better,she looks like Natasha Romanoff from the comics and actually is Russian. Maybe when Scar Jo is done Elena can replace her

she's actually georgian. but yeah she would've been an amazing black widow that can actually speak russian!! marvel should've taken a chance on elena who would've done natasha justice instead of casting a well known. too bad when emily blunt couldn't do widow they didn't cast elena and she has widow's stature and is a great actress.
