I was poor. Then rich. Now poor again and amazingly I am happyer overall.
I miss some things but not all the stress. So will take a break then go back to being rich.
One thing anyone that has never been rich should know. you find out real fast that folks you thought were friends are not when you are no longer rich. Thus they were NEVER your friend. They were in Fact nothing more than leaches. Also as I heard Mark Cuban say " you have a target on your back" Man was he ever right on. Folks would sue me or my company just because we had $. I do not envy him in the least. I can't envy someone who's thousands of miles away from me, have never met him and know nothing really about him. I was just making an observation, but more to the effect 'I'm happy that there are people who appear to be perfect out there (at least from the outside)'. There aren't any in my world for sure.

Don't envy. Wish him more good things in life even if you don't know him so you could be rewarded with some luck as well.

True. Although I have seen some friends who are adamant about trying to improve their childrens lot in life either looks wise or economically and they usually end up succeeding out of sheer perseverence and smarts.
I would've thought most people marry out of love or at least strong affinity and mutual life goals but some out there (and not saying it was the case here) are very calculating and focus only on traits that will bring them the most benefits.
Once you are outstanding in at least one area it makes up for other percieved "deficiencies". It's a snowball effect.

Yeah except people just can't choose the same route when people marry within their own social class and their own range of attractiveness.
