I think she is awesome as Niki, but they made Niki a b1tch in season 6 her and Mia Kirshner made a beautiful couple.

Kate is really hot!! I like her character though sometimes Niki is so immature.
I wanna see Kate in S6 as well 'cos Jenny and Niki are like the hottest couple ever! I hope they will last.

I think that Kate is doing an excellent job on TLW. Her chemistry with Mia is amazing! I also think her acting has improved greatly, but I must admit I am not excited for her to downgrade again and return SoN in April. Niki is such a sweet, naive, & hilarious little diva while Sasha is blah. Not to mention cough Matt Cohen Lameocough I really hope she returns to TLW in season 6 (if there is one) and things end up being fixable between Niki and Jenny since Adele messed it ALL up.

Yeah, she plays a closeted actress, who is too damn scared to tell her fans and the press that she likes women. In some of the promos you can see that Nikki is going to the premiere party of "Lez Girls" with a dude.
I like her storyline, because it's really something that happens in Hollywood. How many male and female actors are out there not being out in actuality?! I love the idea of that s/l

On the l word she's going to be playing a lesbian in Jenny's movie but in the media she identifies as straight.
But she is pretending to be straight in real life because she doesn't want the media and her fans to know that she's actually a lesbian.
I don't know about Kate French's actual sexual orientation though.
