Is it true that she will be appearing on Arrow as Black Canary?
I thought Katie Cassidy was going to be Black Canary but it seems I was wrong. Anyway, I think that Caity Lotz is a woman capable of playing such a strong character.
What do you think? Does she have the potential to portray Black Canary and possibly become a series regular?

As much as I dislike Caity Lotz's stupid permanent pout-lips I have to say I'd love to see that twig Laurel try the salmon ladder. Might be great for a good laugh.

Back to Caity Lotz - after she's done her workout, the show her with 6 pack abs. I'm guessing she doesn't really have those abs and they CG'd them in??? Was that really necessary???
HAHAHAHA. Are you serious? I'd think the show has a million other things they'd rather spend their money on than fake abs.

I seriously doubt her muscle tone was CGI. Even in normal scenes you can see she is no waif. What's most likely is that she worked out a lot before that to look more pumped up. There are videos of her doing some impressive athletic feats, here is a more clear shot of her using the salmon ladder: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USOkrUvCL-A
I'm really glad they are using someone with good physical abilities for this role as too many movies and TV shows have girls who look like stick figures fighting and beating large men. With her it's a lot more plausible.

Did anyone catch the ep where she is on the pullup bar? I'm pretty sure it's not her doing those pullups or else they wouldn't have those edits
When Stephen Amell is doing the pullups, it's a wide shot showing that it's clearly him doing them.

Laurel's sister ends up still being alive and is basically the female version of Oliver. She went through a bunch of stuff for five years and managed to get back to the city. She dons a Black Canary persona, kicks ass for a while, is awesome, then she dies heroically and Laurel takes up the mantle.
Yup. Turns out this show is so clich, anyone could write it in their sleep (I'm pretty sure the writers do)

Laurel is a terrible character (no offense to Katie Cassidy, who's doing what she can with the terrible and boring writing her character gets).
Maybe she'd do better with that change to her character. I agree she doesn't get much to work with, but that's the same with Thea. However they seemed to realized that and fixed the problem with her character by giving her Oliver's nightclub to run. So perhaps things will get better writing-wise with Laurel.
