It doesn't really matter how old you are or look when you are wearing clown make-up so it is a moot point. No one is going to be as good as Tim Curry but appearance and age don't matter when you are totally disguised as a psycho clown.

Hmm could do ok at it. They better make it amazing and no stupid endings and be blood thirsty. There isn't really any brilliant clown films out there. Loved the old pennywise. He has some shoes to fill!! Any one know when it's out?

I think he'll be great! He has tons of potential, and I'm really excited to see him in The Revenant. He's definitely one of the best young actors out there today.

He has a sufficiently creepy face. I just feel Pennywise should be played by someone much older. That was half the creepiness, the fact it was an adult clown effing around with children. Same reason I wouldn't want a 22 year old Freddy Kruger. You need that dichotomy.

Too young. He's most likely going to be younger than the grown-up versions of the Losers Club. He hardly has the voice of an ageless evil being.

I didn't see that movie until I was much older so it doesn't have any kind of iconic feeling to me. I'll check these two new ones out on dvd, theater if they look really good.

Exactly. Tim Curry was in his early 40s when he 2000played Pennywise so I don't understand why a much younger actor is taking over the role, but we'll see how it turns out.

He's kinda young compared to Tim Curry's age in the original Hope he does a good job.

I personally was expecting someone along the lines of Andy Serkis or Sharlto Copley but I'm interested in seeing where they go with a younger actor
