It's all over.
Much ado about nothing. I'll check the news at 10:00 to get a damage assessment and see who got hit the hardest. Right now we have nothing more than the aftermath of a bad storm. But no tornado struck my house or nearby that I could see or could tell.
Those alerts that were streaming across the screen were making me a bit nervous. They had diagrams of the tri-state area monitoring where the storms were hitting and moving, and the colour was changing as the alerts changed to warnings and, like I said, the "magenta" hot spots.
I'm just glad that it clearly seems over. I'll have to take a look at my yard tomorrow to see what happened in the dark.

I told Jacky, if there's a witch flying around on a broom, cackling,….that'd be me! lol
I just need to put a puppy seat on the back of my broom in case I have to fly out of here quick!

Yes! That's so true.
I'm quite sensitive when it comes to feeling something. Since I lost my hearing, I can feel things no one could easily feel. When they feel something, it's more amplified for me.
It's only strong wind? No hails or green witch flying around your house, cackling?
I hope a bear throw a book at you, moon at you, and do a tap dance wearing a thong and leather boots.

That's a relief! I'm glad you're safe.
Hope there's not too much damage. Oh, I agree with being the worst part of the color in the weather radar. Being in the diagram where the color indicating the area where tornado would most likely touch down and lay destruction in its path but the chance is usually 50/50 but it still doesn't change the fact that it's unnerving and tense. Especially there would be strong wind and baseball sized hails. Did you get any hails on your area?
But yes. One night, the tornado warning went off RIGHT before I went to bed. I didn't know about the impending severe weather. I lived with my roommate at that time, and the alert woke her up too. She just laid on her bed, looking at the weather and I just paced around the house, occasionally looking out since it did trigger my PTSD. It's even more tense at night because the difference is: You may not see it, but you can
hear
it coming, whether it's coming directly at you or near you.
And it's much worse at night.
I hope a bear throw a book at you, moon at you, and do a tap dance wearing a thong and leather boots.
