About 5 years ago, when Derek Hough was around 24-25 (and looked like a clean-cut college student), someone (his agent? sister? so-called "friend"?)gave him some very bad advice and he changed his "look". Guys with fair complexions and naturally blond hair should never sprout facial foliage (just ask Robert Redford!). But suddenly, Mr. Hough grew a beard, moustache, gelled his hair and virtually ruined his naturally appealing good looks. I believe I read somewhere that he was told he was losing out on movie roles because he was told that he looked "too young". Sadly, for actors in show business, looks mean everything. Which explains why far too many beautiful women have ruined their looks by submitting themselves to unnecessary cosmetic surgery.
Derek Hough will be turning 30 in a couple of weeks. He has already proven himself one of the most extraordinarily talented young performers in show business. The only gift he is in need of is an electric razor!

Just because he doesn't look like a teenager doesn't mean he looks 40.
