Hailee's movie "The Edge of Seventeen" is getting really good reviews (currently 91% on Rotten Tomatoes). Her song "Starving" is #20 on the Billboard Hot 100 right now. I wonder if she would ever be at the level where she might be able to host Saturday Night Live, as a combination host/music guest.
In the past people like Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and Ariana Grande have all done that successfully. I feel like Hailee is the rare case where she's just as good an actress as she is a singer. Plus she's good at doing comedy.
I know she maybe is not a big enough "name" right now to be a huge ratings draw, but hopefully maybe in the future, maybe after her album comes out. I would really like to see her do this someday.

Her song actually went into the top 5 songs on Itunes briefly, making it even more likely she may be a MG at least. (Considering 3 of the top 5 artists right now on that list have already been the MG this season). Her having a movie coming out at the same time seems fortuitous.
I looked today and she is at #6 though, a song by Pentatonix slipped into the top 5.
