Any adaptation of the book MENSCHEN IM HOTEL was meant to be bad because literally none of the characters are interesting. That being said, WEEK-END AT THE WALDORF does a better job than GRAND HOTEL at trying to make the viewer get invested in the stories. That's why it wasn't until I compared both versions that I realized that it wasn't my fault that I wasn't invested in the original.
Any thoughts?
