There have been so many ongoing lists and polls created here over the years. Can we collate data about them (polls, best of lists, etc) in one thread so that the information can be preserved? Some day, it could all be of interest to a great many people, and it's shame for all that hard work and interesting data to go to waste.

Good. I'd talked about that several times in the past but have been too lazy (and at times I've been legitimately busy). Let me know if you need anything - I have my own polls mostly in Excel and would need to convert them, but I have Lech's in simple transferrable text files. And if many/most/all of us end up on another forum together, we can still make use of them going forward.
Here's to the fools who dream

I'm going to put together a thread containing all the year-by-year poll results that I have records of.
Goodbye IMDb message boards
But I'll know we'll meet again some sunny day

I agree. That especially applies to the Yearly polls.
